owner + bridal stylist

I’m a Mississippi gal who fell in love with wedding gowns way before my time. Opening MAGGIE LOUISE felt like a very natural next step after many years spent at Allison Rodgers Photography. Behind the lens, I fell head over heels for the moments of pure joy I captured at many weddings. But, more than anything, I loved that powerful moment when a bride steps into her dress - THE dress she’s been dreaming about all her life. Whether I was touching up lip-gloss or bustling a big, white gown, I found I was at my best ensuring my bride’s big day was everything she hoped it would be.

In 2012, at 24 years old, MAGGIE LOUISE came to life + I set out on a mission to make the bridal gown search a little sweeter by creating a bridal experience unlike any other. To this day, there is not much that fills my heart with more joy than uniting a bride with her perfect gown – a match just as singularly destined for her as her groom - amidst the comfort and joy of her loved ones.

I wore my very own wedding gown down the aisle in 2014 as the most incredible man waited for me at the altar + we now have two precious babies, Olivia + Henry. MAGGIE LOUISE bonds my reverence of bridal couture and southern charm, a sanctuary of sort filled with white dresses + loving-kindness. You’ll find there are lots of bridal boutiques out there where you can find a pretty gown, but I wholeheartedly believe the people you’ll meet below make MAGGIE LOUISE unlike anything else in the world!

owner + the“OG”

In 2010, after only two months of dating, this handsome man sat across the table as I confided in him my hopes and dreams of opening a bridal boutique. I had always wanted to marry him, but in that moment, when he listened to my deepest desires and encouraged me to go for it, his faith in me totally sealed the deal. Many years later, I’m now honored to call him my husband, my best friend, my business partner, + the father of my children!

Eric works mostly behind the scenes, but his heart + passion for constructing the best possible bridal experience for every single woman who comes through our doors is what makes MAGGIE LOUISE one of the best boutiques in the country. He handles the not-so-glamorous side of running a small business (think numbers, spreadsheets, + never ending paperwork) but his eye for detail + commitment to constant improvement keeps us all focused on what matters every day— the bride.

His favorite thing about what he does is seeing his ideas for improvement come to life as we get to connect with each bride in her appointment + strive to give her the level of service she deserves when making one of the biggest decisions of her life. From that first conversation where this was all just a crazy dream to the details of everyday life here, he has always been my biggest cheerleader, my most devoted coach, and my closest friend.

For years, Eric would ask me during our vision casting meetings what type of gal I wanted to add to our team to serve brides alongside us + I would always answer "I haven't found her, but I do know she's a Carolyn". As The Lord always does, He heard my heart + graciously answered our prayers. He not only blessed us with "a Carolyn", but "THE Carolyn" herself. As one of my dearest friends, I always knew her genuine + pure passion for life, her drive, and positive nature made her the perfect match for our Maggie Louise dreams.

After many years in the big retail world, her heart desired a place where she could connect with her clients on a deeper, more personal level + see the fruits of her labor come to life. Her greatest joy within her position at Maggie Louise is sharing her love for the communion of marriage + serving other women as they prepare for this journey themselves.

She's a Georgia gal, transplanted to Tennessee after finishing her degree in Fashion Merchandising at University of Tennessee in 2008. She married one of Eric's lifelong friends, Jon, in 2014 + together they have two beautiful baby girls + two fur babies.

experience coordinator

Meet Ashley, who happens to be our sister — Eric’s sister by birth, mine by the gift of marriage! In 2011, Ashley accompanied me on my very first market trip. Her spunk + courageousness was just what I needed alongside me as I took one of the biggest leaps of my life. She was hard at work practicing law in Nashville during this season + quickly became one of the top young lawyers in the league. But thankfully, her love for her family led her to make the move back home from Nashville to Memphis in 2016 + we quickly knew the Lord was telling us that Ashley was the perfect fit for our Maggie Louise family too!

As Experience Coordinator, Ashley’s work at Maggie Louise is what produces a happy ending for all of our brides. We often hear that something just “feels different” when you walk into our boutique + we are passionate about providing that feeling throughout the entire Maggie Louise experience + beyond — this is where Ashley comes in. From the day-to-day operations, to ensuring every bride’s gown is on time + nothing less than perfect, to designer liaison, to supporting each of us in any way she can — she not only keeps the boat afloat, but does the nitty-gritty to keep us sailing beautifully.

Ashley married her groom in 2016 + walked down the aisle in an Anne Barge design from Maggie Louise. She is the momma to two precious boys and a die-hard Packers fan.

social media + marketing

Amanda joined our team in 2018 + sits at the helm of all things digital marketing + social media. When I first set out to find someone to fill the social media shoes at Maggie Louise, I asked Amanda to meet with me over lunch to help me map out the strengths + skills to look for. Knowing her talents + her knowledge of the industry, I knew she’d be able to point me in the right direction, but low + behold, the Lord was simply pointing me in her direction.

She’s equal parts bridal fashion enthusiast, marketing guru + creative entrepreneur. Amanda was a wedding photographer for over seven years before breaking out to launch her love child, The Bridal Theory, in 2014 — a fine art wedding publication.  She says Maggie Louise is the “Disney Land” of weddings, “the happiest place on earth”, so I can’t imagine anyone more perfect for sharing + spreading the word about our mission around here.

Amanda’s happy place is in the mountains + her favorite holiday is Bridal Fashion Week (no, really, it is). But at the end of the day her adventurous spirit feels most at home with her husband + two boys in Memphis!
